Macksie's five year check up

This morning I took Macksie to his five year old check up. He is 50 % of height for his age and only 10 % of weight. He's gonna be tall and skinny like his brothers.

He's happy and healthy and very smart.

The Doctor has to ask questions to see if they know certain things and can solve problems.

Doc "If fire is hot, then ice is..."
Macks "melting!"

Doc couldn't argue so he gave him the point.

I loved the games of I Spy and shapes on the floor we played while we were waiting. I giggled at this little boy most of the time we were there. Love that Macksie!

Mackinley's fifth birthday

Today is Mackinley's fifth birthday. He's five! He was five and a half weeks early and so little. He was born with very blond hair and a very mellow temperment. He's still pretty mellow and usually is content to watch all the commotion his brothers cause at our house. He still has the most beautiful blue eyes and blond hair.

He's starting to read and write things all on his own. He's also starting to learn math facts with the older boys. He's my best little buddy and keeps me company. He loves to cuddle on the chair and still likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

He really likes to play with Lego's and trains. His favorite color is red and when asked his favorite food or candy he says "All of them.

I love you buddy!

Lins Cristmas

Yesterday morning Avery gave me a box that when I opened it it seemed empty. Avery looked at my confused face and smiled and said "Its a kiss!" I got a little teary! I do think that we will read that book "Pocket Full of Kisses" today.

Avery's Choir

This is the second year Avery has sung with our Elementary School Choir. They had their concert on December 12th. He always keeps the songs a surprise, so no practicing at home...but they do such a good job for such a little group. I am so glad that several of his friends sing in the choir as well, and Macks already asked if he could sing in it next year for Kindergarten. We'll see...

Santa

The week after Thanksgiving we took the boys to see Santa at Grandma's work.
Ian wants the Red Star Wars Lego Ship.
Avery wants an Art Kit
Simon wants toys.
Macksie wants a Nintendo DS.
I couldn't hear what Porter wanted but I am sure it was something fabulous!

Simon's a big boy now

Yesterday I took the boys for haircuts with Cousin Tory. Simon let her use the clippers and she got to do a big boy haircut for the first time. I can't believe that he is a big boy already! Ian keeps giggling and telling Simon "you look like me!"

New Windows

Yesterday the crew came and worked all day replacing the front four windows. The big picture window in the front room now has two sliders. All the windows in the dinning room are done, and they are beautiful. I only heard two crashes, so I think they did pretty good! Now we need a little trim replaced and some new blinds. It is giving me the big bug to paint my house! I have to wait until the insulation is done and they are booked out into January or February...so I'll just have to wait. The rest of the windows will be done next week. Merry Christmas to us!
